I like it because it fits any dog lover or even cat lover with the beautifully etched details and hand crafted quality. For some reason when I looked at it I could tell the artist was herself an animal lover, and when I read about her on the web store, I realized my intuition was correct. I love jewelry made by an artist. It seems so much more organic and real to me. It doesn’t even matter to me what the medium is; it can be done in pewter, gold or silver. Even a diamond-studded piece would have the same effect. At least that’s my opinion.

Maybe that’s why I love the ancient jewelry from Greece and Rome. During those periods, of course, everything was crafted by an artist. But when it comes to really impressive dog jewelry, you can’t top something where the personality has been captured by the artist’s own hands and vision.
